Derrick Downing founded Savage Land Solutions in 2018, two years after earning his bachelor's degree in business management from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. With over 16 years of expertise in the landscape and construction sectors, Derrick’s deep passion for outdoor environments, architecture, and landscape design has driven the rapid expansion of Savage Land Solutions throughout Central Texas.

Under Derrick’s visionary leadership, Savage Land Solutions has flourished, combining innovative design principles with a strategic business development approach. His ability to anticipate market trends and cultivate meaningful client relationships has established Savage Land as a leader in a fast-evolving industry. Derrick is both a Texas Licensed Irrigator and a TNLA Certified Landscape Professional, ensuring that his technical proficiency matches his leadership acumen.

Beyond his work at Savage Land, Derrick explores new business ventures and offers consulting expertise, driven by a passion for entrepreneurship. In his free time, he enjoys hunting and traveling with his wife, Brittany, and their two children, Brooks and Parker Avery.
